Using Online Video Websites to Promote Your Business

Are you a small business owner? If so, how is your business doing? Despite businesses that are a success, there are many business owners who want more. If you are one of those individuals, it is likely that you would do just about anything in your power to improve your business, especially if you sell a particular product or service. When working to improve their businesses, many business owners spend thousands, if not millions, of dollars on advertising. How would you feel if you learned that there was a free way that you could promote your business?

A free way to promote your business? Unfortunately, many business owners believe that there is no such thing. If by chance it is believed, there are many who would automatically assume that it was a wasted effort. Although many free advertising methods can be deemed time consuming and not worth the effort, there is one that you should try. That method involves the internet and free online video websites.

If you are an avid internet user, there is a good chance that you are fully aware of what free online video websites are and what they do. If not, you will want to learn. Free online video websites are websites that allow internet users to watch videos that are hosted on their website, free of charge. What is nice about free online video websites is that most will also allow internet users, just like you, to make, upload, and share their own videos. Depending on the type of business you own and operate, you may be able to use these websites to your advantage.

When it comes to using free online video websites to your advantage, you will want to familiarize yourself with the websites that are currently available. You can easily do this by performing a standard internet search. Your search should produce a fairly large number of results, including Google Video and YouTube. Before making your video, you will want to examine any of the rules and restrictions that are set in place. When doing so, you will find that most video websites do not have any rules or restrictions concerning the use of online videos to promote your business; however, you will still want to make sure that your video is tactfully done.

If you are an online business owner, especially one that sells a particular product, you could make a video showcasing your product. For instance, if your specialty is photo blankets, you may want to show your samples or even go over the process of making them. It may also be a good idea to mention the overall cost of photo blankets and who should own them. If your product would make a great gift, it is also advised that you mentioned that. When doing your video, you will want to refrain from making your video seem like spam. Although you may want to mention the price, you will want to refrain from promoting your business too much. At the end of your video, you may want to offer directions on how to make a purchase or learn more information.

Although products are the easiest to showcase in an online video, you can also use your video to help promote a particular service that you sell. For instance, if you offer assistance to those that are indebt, you will want to provide an overview of what debt is, who it hurts, and how help can be obtained. Providing general information on debt is a great way to keep your video from appearing too pushy. As mentioned above, you may also want to include information on your business at the end of your video. This may help to increase the number of clients you receive, especially if you provide a service that is used and needed by many.

To make you video, whether or not you plan on using that video to promote your business, you will need a few pieces of equipment. Perhaps, the most important is a recording device. For the best results, you are urged to use a camcorder, but you can also you a webcam. Movie making software is important, as well. Most computers already come equipped with movie making software. After you have made and saved your video, you will have to follow the instructions of the free online video website you wish to use.

Making Your Own YouTube Video

There was a time when the internet was used only for research. As the popularity of the internet grew, so did the way that it was used. Today, millions, in fact billions, of individuals rely on the internet for entertainment. If you are one of those individuals, there is a good chance that you have heard of YouTube before. YouTube is an online video website that allows website visitors to view homemade videos and much more, but that is not all that you can do with YouTube. If you wish, you could also make and share your own video.

Making your own video? That sounds like fun doesn’t it? A large number of internet users, ones of all different ages, are making the decision to make their own videos. Many of these videos are used to share information with others, showcase a favorite scene from one of their favorite television shows, express their beliefs, or just make a comedy video. If you are interested in making your own video, whatever the purpose of that video is, you are advised to start thinking about video ideas.

Start thinking about video ideas? Yes. That is what you will need to do. Unfortunately, too many individuals read too much into making online videos. This does not necessarily involve their video content, but how the video will be made and uploaded to the system. If you are planning on making a video for YouTube, you can relax and worry about other things. This is because the uploading process, used by YouTube, is probably one of the easiest one that you will find online.

Of course, the first step will be to make your video. To do this, you will need a standard video recording device. These devices most commonly include camcorders and webcams. As previously mentioned, you can make just about any type of video that you want. However, it is important to remember that your video will be seen by thousands of internet users, at the least. Make sure your video will be appropriate. If you plan on putting any graphic materials or foul language in your video it may be a good idea to make note of it in the video’s title. Later on, you should be able to make this title.

When making your video, it is also important to note that YouTube has a number of limitations. Those limitations include the length of your video and the size of your video’s file. YouTube currently requires that your video be no more than ten minutes in length. It is also required that your videos be less than 100MB, in size. However, aside from their other rules, stipulated in their terms of use agreement, there are no other restrictions. This means that you can create as many videos as you want to. In fact, if you would like to make a video that is longer than ten minutes, you can do so by making it a two part video.

With YouTube, you must be able to save your video using a moving making software program. There are a number of different programs that you can use, such as MovieMaker and IMovie. These programs can easily be obtained, but most computers, especially newer ones, already have the software programs installed. Once you open your video on your computer, with one of the previously mentioned software programs, you should be able to edit and save your video. Of course, you do not have to edit if, if you do not want to.

To upload your video to YouTube, you must first sign up to be a member, if you haven’t already. It is free to sign up for a membership. The signup process is just used to attach your information to your videos and keep track of all of them, especially if you decide to upload more than one. Once you signup for YouTube, you should see an option that will allow you to create or upload your own videos. You will need to follow those directions. Depending on the type of internet connection your have, your videos could be uploaded and ready for viewing in as little as a few minutes.

There are things that you ought to do before, during and after every Tai Chi session. They are called precautions. Well, this won’t be new to you because almost all exercises have certain precautions that every practitioner must observe and follow.

Below are some pointers to ponder on (for beginners and those who have medical problems):

Precaution #1

Never attempt to learn Tai Chi through instruction manuals and online videos. The book can only tell you what to do and what are the basic principles behind every move but it will not actually exhibit the right or wrong positions. Trying to imitate the Tai Chi DVDs can be quite a hag.

They will make you want to try and learn but will be very hard for you to keep on pushing the stop-rewind-play-stop-rewind-play-fast forward buttons just to catch up on their instructions. Things like this will never tell you if you have made a mistake in your performance. They will just go on and on. Besides, if you have a particular question in mind, your manuals and videos will not make the slightest effort to answer you.

It is always safe to learn from someone who is experienced enoughed to teach you, PERSONALLY, the basics. Once you have learned the difference between the right and wrong technique, that’s the right time to practice with your manual or video. Beginners should take note of this very seriously.

Precaution #2

Upon entering a Tai Chi program, you should choose the teacher who will instruct you. You have to make sure that he or she is experienced enough to entertain any of your needs or questions regarding Tai Chi. This is very important especially for those who are currently experiencing arthritis or heart problems because there are certain movements that can be straining and may contribute more to the pain.

In cases of joint pains and flares, always consult your doctor about it. Ask him what are the appropriate movements that can’t produce further pain. Tell your instructor about your condition so that he may have an idea on what would be more appropriate for your condition.

Precaution #3

You should always warm up before and then cool down and take a quick rest after. You may not think Tai Chi as a vigorous and strenuous kind of exercise but mind you, it keeps the muscles and joints working overtime.

Precaution #4

If there is a need to modify, then do it for as long as it is necessary. Because there are many Tai Chi movements that are in need of your whole to produce a perfect position. But if you have some unseen involvement that may cause your performance to become blur, then drop the original movements then modify it.

Precaution #5

If you can’t do it, don’t push it. Exerting yourself just to let everyone see is like stressing yourself in the most painful manner. Tai chi is a process in which it is meditative and not stressful so don’t push yourself to movements that aren’t possible for you to perform.

Practice. This won’t harm you. And it will only take you at least half an hour to complete an hour’s program. Tai Chi is indeed a perfect exercise for meditative purposes. But don’t mistake it with other vigorous exercises that promise weight loss or weight gain, nice abs, etc.

Variety is Everything: Stage Types of the Tour de France

One of the things that makes the Tour de France a great spectacle is the wide variety of stages that riders must endure to win the yellow jersey for once and for all. The Tour de France requires versatility from its cyclists, as each year the stages are made of a good mix of climbs, sprints, and other stage types. If you’re lost as to what the different type of stage types are, and what strategies they require, read on! You’ll enjoy the race much more if you understand what challenges are presented by the different types of stages.

The prologue is a relatively new type of stage that has been introduced to get the race off to a fast start and determine a first stage leader for the Tour de France. This stage is much shorter than other stage types, usually clocking in at under 8 kilometers! This means that the fastest riders can usually complete the prologue in around 7 minutes. However, even with the short stage time, the prologue is a nice appetizer for the stages to come, and provides race fans with a quick look at the year’s competitors. Winning the prologue is not exactly essential for winning the entire race, and it’s more a formality than anything. Not every year’s edition of the Tour de France even contains a prologue.

Sprint stages are often very flat, and allow each team’s sprint specialists to zoom down the road at top speed towards the finish line. Sprint stages often have a large peloten (or pack) of riders, as there is no real climb or descent to divide them or separate them. As such, sprint stages often seem like the less demanding stage type, but are often quite the opposite. After all, when racing in a thick pack at high speeds, the slightest slip up can lead to a huge crash that can end one’s bid at the Tour de France’s yellow jersey.

The climbing, or mountain, stages of the Tour de France give the race much of its unique flavor. Climbing stages are often extremely demanding, as riders struggle to push the pace, or simply keep up with it, while enduring long inclines that are categorized by their steepness and length. Of course, the ascent of such mountain roads also lead to spectacular descents at high speeds which can lead to some of the most dangerous and exciting moments of the entire race. Many champions of the Tour de France have been excellent climbers, such as the great Lance Armstrong, or former champion Lucien van Impe. It’s important to be a good all-around cyclist, but being a tenacious climber can allow you to put valuable distance between yourself and the pack in the Tour de France.

Individual time trials can be the difference between rousing success and disappointing failure at the Tour de France. During an individual time trial, riders compete by themselves against the clock to achieve the fastest time possible, usually in a distance of around fifty kilometers. With the shorter stage distance, the competition to shave every millisecond possible is pretty heated, and the emphasis is on proper race strategy, pacing, and technique. Unlike other stages, where a rider’s team can assist them, there is no one to help cut down wind resistance, push the pace, or provide other help in an individual time trial. The distance of a time trial is too far for a cyclist to start out at their highest possible pace, but not far enough that they can’t push themselves throughout. Therefore, the strategy of a rider is one of the major factors that determines where they finish in an individual time trial.

These are the main stage types of the Tour de France. As you can see, riders must be ready for everything, and work hard to overcome any weaknesses when they race in the Tour de France. The variety of stage types works to demand that each year’s winner be a versatile cyclist who can persevere against all kinds of challenges. After all, that’s what makes the Tour de France so great.

There are more than one reason why many believe Tai Chi helps reduce the painful effects of arthritis. It’s because Tai Chi doesn’t focus only on the medical aspects but also in the healing properties of the mind and an inner energy that is called as Qi.

Mind Power
The power of the positive mind can cure a lot of sickness and disabilities. A positive mind can help integrate and hasten healing. Tai Chi connects the mind and body manipulation of the mind that is conscious. It directs the internal force within the body and the internal force directs the movement that is produced. Upon practicing Tai Chi, a person focuses on the coordination and focuses on the movements of the body. Through mental training, Tai Chi enhances mind clarity, uplifts the mood and improves proper relaxation.

There have been studies about Tai Chi as an alternative treatment for arthritis and as concluded, it has been found that it complements and can stand on its own as a treatment. The great power of the mind is modified as one of the most powerful and effective tool to prevent arthritis.

Qi Power
Qi is known as the energy in the life of a person. This kind of energy is derived from the combination of three essentials namely: air we breathe in, Qi of kidney and Qi from water and food that is absorbed by the body from the digestive system. Once Qi circulates in the body, it performs numerous tasks to let systems in the body perform well. If you let Qi penetrate in your body and maintain strong relativity with it, then you will become stronger and healthier.

Through the slow and gentle movements of Tai Chi, it enables the opening of channels, keeping them supple and strong. It maintains the muscle’s rhythmic exhibitions. If you are someone who wanted Qi to radiate inside the body and be further enhanced, Tai Chi is the answer. Fields of Chinese medicine stated that arthritis can be also the end effect of a very slow and sluggish flow of the internal energy.

Programs for Tai Chi have been verified in a lot of ways but all ends up in three objectives:

a.Provide safety and precision to learn the different techniques in the most accepted practices that will fit people of all ages.

b. Relieve the pain that is caused by stiffness of the muscles and bones and the other causes of arthritis that is related to the problem.

c. Improve the body’s relaxation and maintain a healthy way of life.

Characteristics of programs aimed for Tai Chi preventing arthritis goes as follows:

a. High stances to make it easy for people to adapt and learn.

b. Steps that is agile. This is the one factor that is concerned with the improved mobility and is very essential in the practice of Tai Chi to people with arthritis.

c. Numerous Qigong movements and exercises can improve relaxation and promote healing.

No matter how people look at it, Tai Chi has already proven its worth in terms of arthritis treatment. The thing is, you have to look for the proper program that has the purpose of eliminating the effects of arthritis and eventually getting rid of it. Make sure that the program offers complete sets of basic and advanced forms of exercises.

The Tour de France: A Beginner’s Guide

The Tour de France is an incredibly exciting event that is followed by fans all across the world. However, the Tour de France can also be intimidating to those who aren’t familiar with the sport of cycling, or the race itself. Let’s go over some of the basics, so that you’ll be able to follow this year’s Tour de France with a better understanding of the events taking place!

First of all, the object of the Tour de France is, of course, to finish the overall race with the fastest time. What complicates things is that the Tour de France is a race that is divided up over a period of about three weeks. It’s important to know that the race itself is divided into different parts called stages. Each stage lasts one day, although the stages can be quite long. There are a total of 21 stages, and the complete race is usually well over 1,800 miles (or over 3,500 km) long!

Although the object of the Tour de France is to win the overall race as a whole, each stage is treated much like its own individual race. Winners of stages receive prize money, and winning a stage of the Tour de France is often regarded as a bigger accomplishment than winning other single-day races. The stages themselves can be flat, mountainous, or anywhere in between, and often there are individual time trials that serve as stages. Competitors generally get a couple of days to rest during the race, as well.

If you’ve seen footage of the Tour de France before, or heard others talk about it, you probably want to know what the yellow jersey is all about. The famed yellow jersey is one of four different jerseys that designate that the rider wearing it has achieved a specific feat. The rider wearing the yellow jersey is the overall leader of the race. To determine who has earned the yellow jersey at any point in the race, officials merely take the lowest overall combined time from all the stages.

The green jersey is awarded to the points leader in the race. Points are earned according to passing order at the finish line or in intermediate sprints. For this reason, riders who specialize in sprints are generally those found wearing the green jersey.

The distinctive polka dot jersey goes to the leader of the “mountain classification”, with points being earned according to passing order on mountain stages. Therefore, it is often said that the rider wearing the polka dot jersey is the best climber of the race.

Finally, the white jersey is only worn by riders aged 25 years or younger. This jersey is intended to spotlight the rising stars of the cycling world and the Tour de France. Many riders who wore the white jersey have also gone on to win the coveted yellow jersey in their careers.

There are other awards given during the Tour de France as well. The combativity prize is also known as the fighting spirit award and is awarded by a panel of eight cycling specialists. There is also a team award called the team classification, which is given after adding the times of the top three riders for each team for each stage to get a total time. Riders in teams often assist each other by “slipstreaming” behind one another for better speed, or using other team tactics. Teams are grouped by common sponsors.

It also bears mentioning that finishing straight stages in the top three can earn you bonus seconds, which help you shave precious seconds off of your total time. Also, the final mountain climb of the Tour de France is for double points, which is a great incentive for climbers. The double points were added to the official race rules starting in 2004.

Now that we’ve addressed the basics of the Tour de France, you’ll be better prepared to enjoy one of the world’s most prestigious and historic sporting events. Make sure to pay attention to what’s going on during the races, and you’ll find that it’s not nearly as complicated as it may have seemed. Before you know it, you’ll be cheering your favorite rider on towards the yellow jacket!

If you have ever wondered exactly where the show Dancing with the Stars has come from, it is really an amazing story. With six different celebrities paired together with six different professional ballroom dancers, a phenomenon was born into the United States. The show was already a hit in England, however trying to gauge exactly how well the show would perform in the United States was not quite so easy due to the dramatic differences between viewers.

With the start of the show on June 1, 2005, it was immediately obvious that the show was a hit. The viewers for the very first episode hit an enormous 13 million viewers and climbed its way to the number one position. This was an incredible feat for a show that was just starting out, and was success that would just continue to grow as the show went on. Combining together celebrities from a wide field, incredible costumes and some fabulous dancing has all proven to be a great recipe for success for the show.

The initial cast of the show for celebrities included several people who had not been seen heavily for a very long time, and demonstrated that a bit of time away from the spotlights of Hollywood is not always fatal for a career.

The initial contestants for the show included:
Trista Rehn, her claim to fame was her time on the show the Bachelorette as well as also competing on The Bachelor. Her time on the show was extremely short lived as she was eliminated on June 8, 2005 along with her partner Louis van Amstel.

Evander Holyfield, he dazzled the world as a major heavyweight boxer and proved that while he was not the most graceful on his feet; he certainly was not the worst. Pulling all of his experience, as a boxer did not seem to benefit him greatly as his time on the show was tragically brought to an end on June 13, 2005 after just two weeks. His professional partner was Edyta Sliwinska.

Rachel Hunter, as a famous supermodel it is standard that moving gracefully is required. While dancing with partner Jonathan Roberts it was unfortunate that Rachel was eliminated on June 22, 2005, which brought their time on the show to an end.

Joey McIntyre, made famous by the 1980’s boy band, New Kids on the Block he has also done a few acting gigs, mostly plays though. With his own semi-successful music career covering several years, it had been a while since he had been actively heard from. Paired with professional Ashly DelGrosso he was eliminated on June 29, 2005 after coming in 3rd place.

John O’Hurley was able to secure several acting jobs as well as numerous television show hosting gigs; however, his first stint at competing came on Dancing with the Stars. Paired with Charlotte Jorgensen as his professional partner the pair was eventually awarded a second place finish on July 6, 2005 for the season finale.

Kelly Monoco, a successful actress with numerous shows to her credits including Baywatch, Port Charles, Hard Copy, Spin City, and General Hospital to name a few was declared the winner of season one on July 6, 2005 with professional partner Alec Mazo bringing a successful end to the first season for the show.

Due to the success of the first season, additional seasons of the show were quickly organized. Each additional season of the show has increased the number of viewers watching and each features a unique set of celebrity contestants as well. One of the key factors that has helped to influence the success of the show is the uniqueness compared to anything else that is currently on television. Because the show pulls upon the success of contestants and offers no prize money at all, it is only a title as well as a trophy that the winning pair is awarded. While many contestants are not as comfortable with this idea, many others are thoroughly pleased to simply be able to compete again and stay in the public spotlight.

Learning the Moves - Is it Enough?

After six successful seasons on the show it is rather obvious for most viewers that the winner of the show is not always about necessarily who is the most talented. There are plenty of occasions where a much more talented contestant will be cast away in favor of a contestant that is much more popular. If you are completely unsure exactly how you are going to really determine the best contestant then it is incredibly difficult to really decide what is most important. There are several key issues that will heavily influence the outcome of the season.

Of course, Dancing with the Stars is obviously about dancing. Nevertheless, there is so much more to actually making an incredible run on the show. If you really look around at all of the different elements, it is really easy to see how the actual dancing can quickly become something that is much less important than the actual presentation of the performers. For the different celebrities who are less talented but extremely popular it is possible to pick up a large amount of support from the audience. Often times, this support from the audience and the viewers will go a long way towards holding a contestant into the competition even after they should have gone home.

Many viewers become completely enthused by the actual costumes that are worn rather than actually paying attention to the actual dancing technique of each contestant. One of the many details that should be thoroughly viewed is the technique though. This can often be easily overlooked with the glitzy and glamorous costumes that are used, but should never be shoved to the backburner. Several seasons however have proven that actual technique is not always the most important area to review as there have been several contestants who remained on the show much longer than they should have due to just actual technique seriously lacking.

For the contestants who are actually skilled at dancing it is much easier to relax and enjoy the performance. But for others this can be extremely difficult. Contestants who tend to actually enjoy their dancing tend to perform much better, they demonstrate greater levels of confidence and they also are quite talented at putting a good bit of effort together to ensure that they are truly selling their performance to the audience as well as the judges. While the judges are always going to be much more critical of actual technique, the audience will quickly notice how confident a performer really as, as well as if they seem to actually be enjoying themselves.

Another factor that can play into the draw to win is the relationship between the celebrity and the professional. While the professional is ultimately responsible for teaching, the celebrity how to dance it is also extremely important that they be close enough to feel comfortable around each other. For everyone who has actually watched an uncomfortable performance this is a huge issue. There are many times when partners are not really comfortable together and this can create a huge issue on the dance floor due to the stress coming through even during actual dancing. In order to really sell themselves to the audience and judges it is critical that the partners actually like and enjoy each other. However, this does not mean that they have to date or even fall in love. There is a distinct difference between enjoying your partner and disliking them.

Great Cyclists of the Tour de France: Lance Armstrong

Even those who are relatively unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the sport of cycling can tell you who Lance Armstrong is. There are many people worldwide who don’t know the difference between the yellow jersey and the polka dot jersey, but are familiar with Armstrong’s legendary triumphs at the Tour de France, and his courageous battles with cancer. Let’s take a look at the many great performances of Lance Armstrong on cycling’s biggest stage, the Tour de France.

Armstrong was born in Plano, Texas in 1971. He began competing in his teens as a triathlete rather than as a pure cyclist. As he got toward adulthood, he began competing in cycling events, before turning pro in 1992 at age twenty one. He quickly found success, winning individual stages in several races, as well as being the overall winner of the Fitchburg-Longsjo Classic.

In 1993, Lance Armstrong had his first slice of success in the Tour de France, winning Stage 8. Unfortunately, he was unable to build on that success right away, as his only other stage victory at the Tour de France in the next few years was in 1995, when he won Stage 18 of that year’s race. Of course, Armstrong had an uphill battle, as he was diagnosed with cancer in 1996. Only in 1998, after extensive chemotherapy, was Armstrong able to return to competitive cycling.

Then, in 1999, he began a run the likes of which has never been seen in the cycling world, and which will likely never be seen again.

During the 1999 Tour de France, Lance Armstrong was excellent. He won four stages as well as the overall race for his first-ever Tour de France victory. The race itself was notable not only for Armstrong’s win, but also for a twenty five rider pile-up at Passage du Gois. The next year, Armstrong only won one stage, but was consistent overall as he took the yellow jersey in Stage 10 and never surrendered it.

Armstrong won his third-straight Tour de France in 2001, again besting the perennial runner-up Jan Ullrich by several minutes. Armstrong’s characteristic endurance allowed him to again take the yellow jersey in the middle portion of the race and never relinquish it. Among the highlights of his 2001 win was his famous “look back” at Ullrich as they rode on Alpe d’Huez.

In 2002, Armstrong again finished strongly, winning three of the last ten stages to hold onto the yellow jersey, after surrendering it early in the race. His arch rival, Jan Ullrich was unable to compete due to injury. Armstrong made it an unbelievable five straight with his win in 2003, which was almost made impossible by a near crash that Armstrong barely avoided, that took Joseba Beloki out of the running.

By 2004, many fans and experts were wondering when Armstrong would run out of steam. However, Armstrong was as amazing as ever, winning an amazing five stages en route to his sixth straight Tour de France win. He did not take the yellow jacket until Stage 15, but still finished six minutes ahead of the competition. In his final Tour de France in 2005, Armstrong made history once again with his seventh straight win. The accomplishment was enhanced by the fact that Armstrong wore the yellow jersey for all but four stages during the race. It was also Armstrong’s first Tour de France while racing with the Discovery Channel team.

Armstrong finished his career as one of the only cyclists to transcend the sport and become a major celebrity outside of the cycling world, especially in the United States. His exploits in cycling and particularly in the Tour de France not only captivated the world, but brought new light to the great sport of cycling. Whether or not anyone is ever able to equal or best his amazing accomplishments, Armstrong will remain a legend in Tour de France history.

Dancing with the Stars Season 2 Recap

Building upon the success of season one of Dancing with the Stars was something that sent audiences into overdrive. Pulling the total number of competing couples up to 10, rather than just the six that season one offered was one of the largest changes. However, it certainly was not the only change for the show, which allowed it to reach a wider base of viewers. Another substantial change for the show was the change to an hour and a half time slot, rather than just the single hour time slot. Added to this change was the addition of a results show that was aired the subsequent night, which ran for an hour.

Following many of the changes that were in store for the season it was extremely important to begin season two of Dancing with the Stars with a fabulous cast of celebrities pulled together. In order to really do this, the show pulled out several well known celebrities to really give the show a serious boost. The huge changes in the show paid off and it continued to grow in popularity. However, it was also speculated that the viewer voting was creating problems in the results, as many people who received extremely low scores from the judges were actually given the ability to remain on the show an extremely long period of time.

Kenny Mayne was the first contestant to be sent packing. As an ESPN sports commentator he was teamed up with professional Andrea Hale. After an extremely brief stint on the show, he was eliminated on January 6, 2006 with the new season only starting on January 5, 2006. As one of the shortest durations on the show, he was certainly passed over by many when discussing highlights of the show.

Tatum O’Neil was partnered with professional Nick Kosovich and was eliminated on January 13, 2006. For her previous accomplishments, she was a successful actress and has even won an Academy Award previously.

Giselle Fernandez is a TV journalist who appeared in season two partnered with Jonathan Roberts. Following the elimination on January 20, 2006, she was expected to return to her normal job.

Master P is the rapper that everyone loved to support. Drawing the love of the viewers, he was kept around for many weeks despite the fact that he had no real skills in ballroom dancing. After putting in very few hours of actual dance training, it was immediately obvious that the viewers were voting for him simply due to his popularity, rather than his actual dancing skills. Partnered with Ashly DelGrosso the pair was eventually eliminated on January 27, 2006 after causing quite a stir over the voting process.

Tia Carrere is a model and actress who was partnered with professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The duo was eliminated on the February 3, 2006 episode.

George Hamilton an actor was partnered with Edyta Sliwinska after a successful run on the show the pair was eliminated on February 10, 2006.

Lisa Rinna was designated as one of the best dancers in the competition and was paired with professional Louis van Amstel. Despite best efforts and scores from the judges, Lisa was eliminated on February 24, 2006.

Stacy Keibler an actress and also a former Diva for WWE was paired with professional Tony Dovolani. The pair was eliminated on February 24, 2006 in third place; however, there was disputes that they should have rightfully beaten the second place finishers due to much better performances over the duration of the show.

Jerry Rice is a retired and highly successful NFL wide receiver. After being chided by the judges continuously over his lack of ability, it became obvious that the reason he stayed for so long was due to the viewers voting for him. The controversy surrounding the voting reached a fever pitch when Jerry finished second place. Many attributed his win to the votes that poured in right immediately following his dancing which was often at the very beginning of the show.

The final contestant for season was Drew Lachey, brother to Nick Lachey and also member of the boy band 98 Degrees. His professional partner was Cheryl Burke and they managed to secure a first place win on February 24, 2006. This was the first major project that Drew was involved in for quite a while, and his wonderful performances on the show attributed heavily to his win.
